Ex-Yamhill Deputy Sentenced For Beating Child

(McMinnville, OR)  --  A former reserve deputy with the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office is headed to prison.  Michael Abo pleaded guilty yesterday to a charge of first-degree assault in the beating of his girlfriend's four-year-old son, which caused permanent brain damage to the child.  Abo was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years for the assault that took place on New Year's Eve 2013.
