(Bellevue, WA) -- Washington Governor Jay Inslee says he wants to generate 12-billion dollars in revenue to fund state transportation projects. The governor says some of that revenue would come from implementing a 400-million-dollar-a-year "carbon pollution charge" on industrial polluters. He says the 12-billion-dollar package would also be funded through bonds, tolls, and other fees. Inslee is introducing portions of his proposed two-year budget this week before he submits the entire package to lawmakers tomorrow.
