(Portland, OR)  --  A Northeast Portland landmark that draws thousands of visitors each year is celebrating its 90th anniversary.  The 62-acre sanctuary, known as "The Grotto," is planning a formal celebration in September.  The land was purchased in 1924 by a priest, who placed a down payment of three-thousand dollars, or every penny he had.  The Grotto, with its lush greenery and tranquil waterways, is visited daily by people who want a peaceful or spiritual experience and a brief escape from their busy lives.
