Oregon Department of Justice Decides Prineville's Former Police Chief Committed No Crimes

Prineville asked the DOJ to conduct a criminal investigation into these allegations.

The DOJ investigated them by interviewing witnesses from the city of Prineville and military as well as Chief Bush himself.

They concluded there is insufficient evidence to prove that Chief Bush committed a crime.

Bush argued there is a lot of overlap in his positions with the city of Prineville and the National Guard since he is the manager for the city and Director of the 911 Center.

Chief Bush was fired by the city in July based on these allegations and the chief is suing the city for 2.5 million dollars for wrongful termination.
