Local News

The man who is reported to have possibly fallen is a 40 year old white male, about 5'10" and 150 pounds  with long dirty blond hair and a full beard.

He was last seen wearing a blue baseall cap, green t-shirt and dark shorts.  He also had one arm completely tatooed.  He was also wearing a black knee brace one one leg and an ace bandage on the other.

Rangers immediately began a search using teams from several counties in addition to boats on Crater Lake and a helicopter.

The only finding was a pair of sunglasses located directly below where the individaul was reported to have fallen.

They think the hiker was northbound on the Pacific Crest Trail and may be from the Bend area.
