Southern Gospel Ministries is a local not-for-profit, non-denominational group of volunteers who have been bringing high quality Southern Gospel music to Redmond since October 2011. Who: The King’s Heralds were founded in 1927 and their tradition of singing has continued since that time. The quartet comes to us from Portland, Tennessee, and presents a rich blend of inspirational harmony during their concerts that are presented throughout the US and in over 50 countries. They have the distinction of being the first Christian gospel group to tour the People’s Republic of China several years ago. They have produced over 100 albums and have received twenty-three Silver Angel Awards for excellence. They have also received the Gold Angel Award for being the oldest continuous Gospel Quartet in America.

This unusual love story by the author of “Same Time, Next Year, blends laughter, tears and nostalgic songs to wave a charming valentine to romantic plays of the past. Austin “Buddy” Bedford, a lounge pianist/singer who has seen better days, is haunted by a short, passionate affair he enjoyed with an English women 25 years ago. When a young beauty comes into the lounge one rainy evening, he is stunned by her resemblance to his lost love. The affair that ensues is brought to a screeching halt when Austin discovers who she really is. Romantic songs counterpoint the action which reveals the mix of fantasy and reality that forms our lives. Cascades Theatrical Company presents “I Remember You” by Bernard Slade. The show is directed by Brad Thompson, assisted directed by Alan Maxim, and features Tom Atkinson, Alyce Pearce, Miranda Harrison and Mike Ficher. The opening night performance is preceded (6:30-7:30pm) by a complimentary dessert reception. PERFORMANCES AND TICKETS The show runs April 25th – May 10th. Performances are Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are $19.00 Adult/$15.00 Senior (60 and over)/$12.00 Student. Group rates for 10 people or more are available.
