What Would Buddha Do?

From 7:00PM to 9:00PM

What Would Buddha Do? A talk by Michael Scott Stevens (Pema Kunzang) Author of Being an Ordinary Buddha: Practicing the Natural Mind “If we act with an unsettled mind we will have unsettling experiences. If we act with a settled mind, all our experiences will be more peaceful and compassionate”. ~Buddha It is difficult not to be strongly affected by the powerful effects of rapid change in personal situations, social unrest, and, yes, even the climate. Buddha suggested if we settle our mind into a natural serene state we remain undistracted by strong emotional reactions. We are then able to respond creatively and with compassion to all we experience. Michael will discuss some practices for settling the mind and generating compassion for all beings.
