Jade’s Jazz Festival Tickets are on sale now for the July 11-12 Festival. An annual Jazz Festival for Central Oregon, to promote live jazz in our town of La Pine and outlying communities. La Pine is an active community, one that comes together for common goals and our community support has been overwhelming for this project. As a DJ for our local radio station, I began to realize that our small town lacks this sort of cultural attraction. We have artists from other countries and states and from our local community who are slated to perform. Jade’s Jazz Festival will be streamed live to the internet in Second Life. It will be broadcast on 2 radio stations live. We will have CD sales by the musicians. T-shirts, ball caps, backpacks for sale. DJ SJ plans the First Annual Jade's Jazz Festival, to be held at the La Pine Event Center (Old White School Complex) 16405 First Street in La Pine, Oregon July 11-12, 2009 (12pm-8pm). DJ SJ, as she is known at Jade’s Jazz in Second Life (www.secondlife.com) and on KITC FM 106.5 locally in La Pine (www.kitcfm.com), will be bringing live jazz artists such as David Patrone (Midknight Auer in SL) out of San Diego, CA (www.davidpatrone.com), jazz singer Nina Callaway (ZDiva Sorbet in SL) out of Louisiana, and locals Ed Criss (Blues Quarter, Fx) and Detour Jazz to the stage at the July 11-12th Festival.
