Peace Bridges, Inc., a Bend-based non-profit, announces a concert/fundraiser for their Kenyan orphanage, Better Life Children's Home. Gifted classical pianist/singer/songwriter, Jonathan Hanks, will present a sophisticated & exciting program including classical pieces by Liszt & Chopin; contemporary gospel selections from his new CD, 'Counting on Mercy'; & a seasonal arrangement featuring well loved carols. Popular local drummer, Dale Largent, will also be lending his special vibes. A silent art auction (featuring local artists) & light refreshments will accompany the concert. Michael Funke, of KPOV, will MC.
The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Nov.23rd @ 3:00 pm, First Presbyterian Church, 230 NE 9th St. (next to Bend High). Tickets are $15 (teens $10, children free), available in advance at Blue Moon Market Place (next to the downtown Post Office); Strictly Organic Coffee; or also at the door.
