Deschutes County has extended the deadline for applications from volunteers who want to serve on the board of the County Commission on Children and Families. Qualified candidates are also needed for action teams and special projects. They need candidates from Bend, La Pine, Terrebonne, and Sisters. In particular, they need candidates with experience in handling parenting and child abuse prevention, early childhood development, business and marketing, and juvenile justice.
