One local business owner was so angered by the report of Misty – the horse shot and killed over the weekend – that she decided to start a fund to raise reward money to find the killer. Bits & Pieces owner Sandy Klein says she works with a lot of 4-H and Healing Reins kids and knows how devastating it can be to lose an animal. You can donate to the “Misty Horse Reward Fund” at any Bank of the Cascades or at Bits and Pieces on Hwy 20 in Bend. She hopes there will be enough money to encourage someone to come forward with information that will lead to the arrest of the person responsible for Misty’s death.
