Residents, teachers and students all pitched in to help dedicate the newest school in Bend. Ponderosa Elementary on Bend’s east side had a rousing ribbon cutting as students met their new teachers and toured their new facility. The Robinson Construction Company, builder of the school, sponsored a BBQ to welcome the new students and their families. Principal Theresa Herejsen says they've gotten a wonderful, enthusiastic  family of teachers and staff to work with the kids. She adds their mottos is: "Ponderson Elementary...we grow children here!" The first day of school is September 2nd.
