Crook County Officials Monitoring High Water

Posted on Friday, May 30, 2008 (PST)

They are not expecting any flooding, but Crook County officials are keeping an eye on fast flowing waterways in the county. Emergency Services Coordinator Brandon Smith says the Ochoco Irrigation District is doing a good job in keeping ahead of the high flows, but residents are advised that streams and creeks are running fast and full. Forecasters expect the rainy weather to let up, and we should get just a few scattered showers in the next few days leading to blue skies next week.
