City Officials Talk About 97-Cooley Fix With Transportation Commission

Posted on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 (PST)

A traffic fix for Hwy 97 and Cooley Road is on the minds of Bend city officials today as they try to talk the Oregon Transportation Commission into relaxing restrictions on allowing development in the northeast part of the city. ODOT officials say something has to be done to increase capacity at that intersection before they will give the green light for Juniper Ridge or any other development. City officials are working on a solution, and ODOT officials say they are willing to discuss options.
