Law Enforcement Officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty. That is the focus of the Central Oregon Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony to be held this Thursday at 5:30 at the Sheriff’s Office parking lot in Bend on Hwy 20. The public is invited to attend. Oregon State Police Superintendent Tim McLain will give opening remarks and Bill and Barbara Lyons will be keynote speakers. Their son, Scott Lyons was killed in the line of duty in 1977. The event will also feature honor guard flag presentations, vocalists, a 21-gun salute, Taps, and complimentary refreshments for all who attend.
